New Enterprise Incentive Scheme graduate Courtney Barnett has taken out the top award at this year’s APRA Music Awards.
Courtney Barnett was named Songwriter of the Year by the Australasian Performing Right Association in Sydney.
The win is part of a string of top gongs for the Melbourne singer-songwriter, who took out four ARIA awards last year and was awarded $30,000 for winning the Australian Music Prize.
Courtney’s award ended Sia’s history-making winning streak, after she was named Songwriter of the Year for three consecutive years from 2013-2015.
Courtney’s Sarina Russo Job Access mentor Graeme Walker is very, very, proud of her and her achievements.
